As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then fell sharply in the following year.

In value terms, ethylene imports fell markedly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a slight downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 218% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank significantly in the following year.

Norway (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Finland (X tons) were the main suppliers of ethylene imports to Sweden, with a combined 79% share of total imports. Spain, the UK and France lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 20%.
