In 2021, the Swedish boiler parts market was finally on the rise to reach $X after three years of decline. In general, consumption, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the market reached the peak level at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Exports from Sweden
In 2021, approx. X tons of parts of boilers for central heating were exported from Sweden; rising by 46% on 2020 figures. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 58% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, boiler parts exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a noticeable shrinkage. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Norway (X tons) was the main destination for boiler parts exports from Sweden, accounting for a 34% share of total exports. Moreover, boiler parts exports to Norway exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the United States (X tons), with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Norway stood at -6.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+6.3% per year) and the United States (-17.6% per year).
In value terms, Germany ($X), Norway ($X) and the UK ($X) were the largest markets for boiler parts exported from Sweden worldwide, with a combined 56% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the United States, Slovenia, Poland, Finland and Russia, which together accounted for a further 32%.
Poland, with a CAGR of +83.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average boiler parts export price amounted to $X per ton, rising by 4.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, boiler parts export price increased by +70.9% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 63% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+11.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Sweden
In 2021, the amount of parts of boilers for central heating imported into Sweden soared to X tons, with an increase of 24% on the previous year. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +79.1% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, boiler parts imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Serbia (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of boiler parts imports to Sweden, with a combined 68% share of total imports. Denmark, Turkey, Poland, China, Italy and Finland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 28%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkey (with a CAGR of +138.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of parts of boilers for central heating to Sweden, comprising 41% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Denmark ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Serbia, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany stood at +5.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Denmark (-2.4% per year) and Serbia (+52.3% per year).

In 2021, the average boiler parts import price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 3.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 18% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Finland ($X per ton), while the price for Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+14.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
