In general, imports continue to indicate a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 63% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cotton fabric imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 43% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Turkey (X tons), China (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main suppliers of cotton fabric imports to Sweden, with a combined 30% share of total imports.
