In 2022, imports of glass fibre fabrics into Sweden contracted to X tons, waning by -7.8% against the year before. In general, imports continue to indicate a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, glass fibre fabrics imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a slight contraction. In 2022, Finland (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of glass fibre fabrics to Sweden, with a 28% share of total imports. Moreover, glass fibre fabrics imports from Finland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold.
