The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 186% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, almond imports fell sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 215% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of almond to Switzerland, accounting for a 41% share of total imports. Moreover, almond imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), threefold.
