Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, asparagus imports declined markedly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded mild growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 27% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then declined notably in the following year.

In 2022, Spain (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of asparagus to Switzerland, accounting for a 42% share of total imports.
