For the third year in a row, the Swiss ceramic statuette market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 4.4% to $X in 2022. In value terms, ceramic statuette exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a perceptible contraction. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Germany (X tons), France (X tons) and Austria (X tons) were the main destinations of ceramic statuette exports from Switzerland, with a combined 71% share of total exports. The Netherlands, Poland, the UK, Luxembourg, Australia and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Australia (with a CAGR of +93.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for ceramic statuette exported from Switzerland were Germany ($X), France ($X) and the UK ($X), with a combined 43% share of total exports. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Based on 2022 figures, ceramic statuette import price decreased by -22.4% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 28% against the previous year.
