The Swiss memories market was finally on the rise to reach $X in 2021, after two years of decline. Over the period under review, the total consumption indicated tangible growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Memories imports into Switzerland soared to X units in 2021, growing by 43% against the previous year's figure. In general, total imports indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +44.6% against 2019 indices. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 32% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2021, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the price for Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
