South Africa (X units), Mozambique (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main destinations of loudspeaker exports from Tanzania, together accounting for 50% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Mozambique (with a CAGR of +35.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uganda (+32.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Tanzania
After four years of growth, purchases abroad of loudspeakers decreased by -22.8% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate slight growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 133% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, loudspeaker imports contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 81%. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, China (X units) was the main supplier of loudspeaker to Tanzania, accounting for a 96% share of total imports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates (X units), with a 1.8% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at +2.2%.
