The second position in the ranking was taken by Kenya ($X), with a 9.6% share of total exports. It was followed by Australia, with a 3.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Oman amounted to +45.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kenya (-76.9% per year) and Australia (+20.5% per year).

Overall, imports continue to indicate prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 282%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified imports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 298%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, South Africa (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified to Tanzania, accounting for a 87% share of total imports. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from South Africa totaled +40.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+10.0% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (-18.6% per year).
