Television receiver imports into Tanzania surged to X units in 2022, with an increase of 33% on 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 83% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, television receiver imports soared to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of television receiver to Tanzania, accounting for a 88% share of total imports. Moreover, television receiver imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, South Africa (X units), more than tenfold. Vietnam (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.6% share.
