Camel Meat Market Size in Thailand

The Thai camel meat market contracted modestly to $X in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a deep setback. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X kg in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, camel meat exports skyrocketed to $X in 2018. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt descent. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Oman (X kg) and Bahrain (X kg) were the main destinations of camel meat exports from Thailand.

From 2012 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Bahrain (with a CAGR of +35.8%).

In value terms, Oman ($X) and Bahrain ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for camel meat exported from Thailand worldwide.

Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 a decrease of less than 0.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2018, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bahrain ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman stood at $X per ton.

From 2012 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bahrain (+3.4%).
