From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, cattle hide and skin exports contracted to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 68% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Colombia (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and Cambodia (X tons) were the main destinations of cattle hide and skin exports from Thailand, together comprising 88% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Cambodia (with a CAGR of +36.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Vietnam ($X) remains the key foreign market for raw hides and skins of cattle exports from Thailand, comprising 47% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Colombia ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Cambodia, with a 17% share.
