Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 75% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, mineral wool imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 33%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of mineral wool to Thailand, accounting for a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, mineral wool imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Malaysia (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the Netherlands (X tons), with an 8.1% share.
