For the third consecutive year, the Thai television receiver market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 15% to $X in 2022. Overall, consumption, however, showed a slight reduction. Television receiver exports from Thailand shrank notably to X units in 2022, waning by -29.5% compared with the previous year's figure. The exports peaked at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The United States (X units) was the main destination for television receiver exports from Thailand, accounting for a 56% share of total exports. Moreover, television receiver exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Japan (X units), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by India (X units), with a 9.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the United States amounted to +5.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Japan (+3.4% per year) and India (+16.2% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the key foreign market for television receivers exports from Thailand, comprising 59% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 9.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to the United States amounted to -5.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Japan (-4.4% per year) and Vietnam (+22.5% per year).

In 2022, the average television receiver export price amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 3.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to India ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (-2.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Thailand
In 2022, television receiver imports into Thailand stood at X units, approximately equating the previous year. In general, imports recorded a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 57%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, television receiver imports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +4.4% against 2020 indices. In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest television receiver supplier to Thailand, with a 63% share of total imports. Moreover, television receiver imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Vietnam (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Malaysia (X units), with a 9.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +19.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Vietnam (+26.5% per year) and Malaysia (-6.3% per year).
In value terms, the largest television receiver suppliers to Thailand were Vietnam ($X), China ($X) and Indonesia ($X), with a combined 92% share of total imports.
In terms of the main suppliers, Vietnam, with a CAGR of +26.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average television receiver import price amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -2.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a deep contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the average import price increased by 20% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit.
