In value terms, test bench imports fell rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 145%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Canada (X units), Germany (X units) and China (X units) were the main suppliers of test bench imports to Thailand, together accounting for 70% of total imports. Japan, Taiwan (Chinese), the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 24%.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
