From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Italy totaled +57.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (-20.0% per year) and Libya (-21.5% per year).

In value terms, Italy ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for maize (green) exports from Tunisia, comprising 86% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by France ($X), with a 5.5% share of total exports. It was followed by Canada, with a 0.5% share.
