In general, imports recorded strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 76% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In value terms, imports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses declined to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 56% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses supplier to Tunisia, accounting for a 31% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), twofold.
