In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X) remains the key foreign market for sunflower-seed and safflower oil exports from Tunisia, comprising 52% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Senegal ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Jordan, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Saudi Arabia amounted to +24.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Senegal (-6.4% per year) and Jordan (-0.8% per year).

Sunflower-seed and safflower oil imports into Tunisia shrank to X tons in 2022, waning by -14.2% against 2021 figures. In general, imports showed a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 154%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Ukraine amounted to -2.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+2.9% per year) and Russia (-13.2% per year).
