The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 28% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, exports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles amounted to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +47.9% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 46% against the previous year. Romania (X units), Iraq (X units) and the United States (X units) were the main destinations of exports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles from Turkey, together accounting for 16% of total exports. Russia, Italy, Brazil, Poland, Germany, Algeria, Serbia, Syrian Arab Republic, Egypt and Greece lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 39%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Syrian Arab Republic (with a CAGR of +60.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for agricultural, construction and industrial machinery tyre exported from Turkey were Russia ($X), Brazil ($X) and the United States ($X), with a combined 22% share of total exports. In terms of the main countries of destination, Syrian Arab Republic, with a CAGR of +69.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The average export price for tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 9.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Syrian Arab Republic (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey
In 2022, purchases abroad of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles increased by 6.7% to X units, rising for the third consecutive year after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off road vehicles hit record highs at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles surged to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +95.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 30%. Over the period under review, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off road vehicles attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2022, India (X units) constituted the largest supplier of agricultural, construction and industrial machinery tyre to Turkey, accounting for a 40% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles from India exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Vietnam (X units), with an 8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from India totaled +7.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+14.1% per year) and Vietnam (-10.8% per year).
In value terms, India ($X) constituted the largest supplier of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles to Turkey, comprising 33% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with an 8.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from India stood at +7.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+1.2% per year) and the Czech Republic (+7.4% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 9.4% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
