The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +78.9% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In general, total imports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.9% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +107.3% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Italy (X tons), China (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the main suppliers of aluminium pipe fittings imports to Turkey, together comprising 62% of total imports. The United States, South Korea, Taiwan (Chinese), Austria, Germany, the UK and Spain lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Taiwan (Chinese) (with a CAGR of +81.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.3%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 14%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the price for South Korea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
