Bulgaria (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of aluminium tube exports from Turkey, with a combined 45% share of total exports. Russia, Romania, Argentina, Mexico, Morocco, Egypt, France, Poland, South Africa and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 48%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Argentina (with a CAGR of +281.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Bulgaria ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X) constituted the largest markets for aluminium tube exported from Turkey worldwide, with a combined 43% share of total exports. Romania, Russia, Argentina, Mexico, Poland, Egypt, Morocco, France, South Africa and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 49%.

In 2022, the average aluminium tube export price amounted to $X per ton, rising by 32% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.8%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina (+9.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of aluminium tubes and pipes, when their volume decreased by -10% to X tons. Over the period under review, imports saw a precipitous curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 162%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, aluminium tube imports stood at $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a sharp decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 61%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X tons), China (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of aluminium tube imports to Turkey, together comprising 59% of total imports. Iran, the Netherlands, Italy, India and South Korea lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +293.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Iran ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
