Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, stainless steel angle exports rose remarkably to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 130%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Lebanon (X tons), Ecuador (X tons) and Cyprus (X tons) were the main destinations of stainless steel angle exports from Turkey, with a combined 53% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, Georgia, Germany, Serbia, Kuwait, Israel and Uzbekistan, which together accounted for a further 32%.

In 2021, the average stainless steel angle export price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 19% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average export price increased by 32%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from South Korea amounted to +198.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (+3.3% per year) and Italy (+17.4% per year).

Over the period under review, the import price, however, faced a abrupt shrinkage. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
