The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 46%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Sao Tome and Principe ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

After two years of decline, purchases abroad of apple juice (single strength) increased by 158% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 1,480% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, apple juice imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 613%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
