The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 27%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted notably in the following year.

France (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of breakfast cereal imports to Turkey, with a combined 62% share of total imports. In 2021, the average breakfast cereal import price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 12% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
