Ceramic household article imports into Turkey fell modestly to X tons in 2021, waning by -3.2% against the previous year's figure. In general, imports saw a mild slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 33%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, ceramic household article imports expanded rapidly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a pronounced decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of ceramic household article to Turkey, with a 83% share of total imports. Moreover, ceramic household article imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Egypt (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Portugal (X tons), with a 2.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at +1.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Egypt (+5.6% per year) and Portugal (+15.1% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of ceramic household articles and toilet articles to Turkey, comprising 83% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Egypt ($X), with a 4.8% share of total imports. It was followed by Portugal, with a 1.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Egypt (+2.3% per year) and Portugal (+5.9% per year).
