The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Russia (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Iraq (X tons) were the main destinations of cherry and sour cherry exports from Turkey, together accounting for 84% of total exports.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 10,799%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, cherry and sour cherry imports contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports faced a precipitous shrinkage.
