Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, cream fresh exports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 51% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Iraq (X tons) was the main destination for cream fresh exports from Turkey, accounting for a 35% share of total exports. Moreover, cream fresh exports to Iraq exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Syrian Arab Republic (X tons), twofold. In 2022, supplies from abroad of cream fresh was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year declining trend. In general, imports recorded a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 92% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
