In general, exports continue to indicate a remarkable increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, exports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, exports saw a buoyant expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Algeria (X tons), the UK (X tons) and Romania (X tons) were the main destinations of exports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances from Turkey, together accounting for 26% of total exports. France, Morocco, Iraq, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Spain, Nigeria, Russia and Tunisia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +19.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Nigeria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, purchases abroad of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances increased by 103% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports saw a prominent expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, imports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports posted perceptible growth. Over the period under review, imports of attained the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

The United Arab Emirates (X tons), China (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of imports of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances to Turkey, together accounting for 80% of total imports. These countries were followed by Italy, Morocco, Ireland and Mongolia, which together accounted for a further 12%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Ireland (with a CAGR of +1,973.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Spain ($X) constituted the largest supplier of domestic, non-electric, cooking or heating appliances to Turkey, comprising 45% of total imports. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per ton), while the price for Ireland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
