Romania (X tons), Serbia (X tons) and Israel (X tons) were the main destinations of expansible polystyrene exports from Turkey, with a combined 35% share of total exports. Ukraine, Italy, Egypt, Portugal, the Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Brazil, Russia and Lithuania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 39%.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Austria (X tons), Iran (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main suppliers of expansible polystyrene imports to Turkey, with a combined 75% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Iran (with a CAGR of +81.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for Germany ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
