The Turkish non-combined refrigerator-freezer market dropped to $X in 2022, waning by -14% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, enjoyed resilient growth. The exports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-combined refrigerator-freezer exports fell to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 38%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted in the following year.

The UK (X units), Germany (X units) and France (X units) were the main destinations of non-combined refrigerator-freezer exports from Turkey, together accounting for 37% of total exports. Italy, Sweden, Spain, Israel, Iraq, Egypt, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the United States (with a CAGR of +26.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for non-combined refrigerator-freezer exported from Turkey were the United States ($X), Germany ($X) and the UK ($X), with a combined 36% share of total exports.

In 2022, the amount of household refrigerators and freezers (not combined) imported into Turkey shrank dramatically to X units, dropping by -37.2% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-combined refrigerator-freezer imports dropped notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 43% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Romania (X units), China (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of non-combined refrigerator-freezer imports to Turkey, with a combined 91% share of total imports. Poland, Italy and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 5.1%.
