In value terms, HVAC equipment exports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a moderate expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

Germany (X units), Egypt (X units) and France (X units) were the main destinations of HVAC equipment exports from Turkey, together accounting for X% of total exports. Russia, Ukraine, the United States, Iran, Libya, Italy, Poland, Algeria, Iraq and Israel lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Italy (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for HVAC equipment exported from Turkey were France ($X), Germany ($X) and Egypt ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Algeria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey

After two years of growth, overseas purchases of HVAC equipment decreased by X% to X units in 2022. In general, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, HVAC equipment imports expanded sharply to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of HVAC equipment to Turkey, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, HVAC equipment imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Romania (X units), with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (X% per year) and Romania (X% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of HVAC equipment to Turkey, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Italy, with a X% share.
