Moreover, knife and scissors imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), eightfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by South Korea (X tons), with a 7.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled -5.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+19.5% per year) and South Korea (+11.9% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of knives, scissors and blades to Turkey, comprising 43% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 3.5% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China amounted to -10.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+13.8% per year) and South Korea (-1.1% per year).

In 2021, the average knife and scissors import price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a mild reduction.
