In value terms, Switzerland ($X) remains the key foreign market for leeks and other alliaceous vegetables exports from Turkey, comprising 47% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Bulgaria ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Switzerland amounted to -1.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Bulgaria (+13.1% per year) and Germany (-6.7% per year).

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey
In 2022, leek imports into Turkey surged to X tons, increasing by 85% compared with the previous year. In general, imports continue to indicate significant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
