These countries were followed by Greece, Israel, Australia, Bulgaria, Russia, Georgia, Libya, Syrian Arab Republic, Mauritania and Iraq, which together accounted for a further 35%.
Mauritania, with a CAGR of +297.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average fishing rod export price amounted to $X per ton, approximately equating the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 95%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Cyprus ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, the amount of fishing rods and other line fishing tackle imported into Turkey dropped modestly to X tons, stabilizing at the previous year's figure. Overall, imports continue to indicate a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 48% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, fishing rod imports soared to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 26%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, China (X tons) was the main supplier of fishing rod to Turkey, accounting for a 91% share of total imports. It was followed by Japan (X tons), with a 2.5% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled -2.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (+14.4% per year) and South Korea (-9.3% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of fishing rods and other line fishing tackle to Turkey, comprising 78% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with a 6.7% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from China stood at +2.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (+7.0% per year) and South Korea (-4.9% per year).
