The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 442% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.

Italy (X tons) was the main destination for manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates exports from Turkey, accounting for a 81% share of total exports. Moreover, manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates exports to Italy exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Iran (X tons), eightfold. Uzbekistan (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 3.1% share.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 44% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates to Turkey, accounting for a 66% share of total imports. Moreover, manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Iran (X tons), with a 6.6% share.

In value terms, China ($X), India ($X) and Poland ($X) were the largest manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates suppliers to Turkey, with a combined 83% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Iran and the United States, which together accounted for a further 4.5%.

Iran, with a CAGR of +71.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
