Overall, exports enjoyed a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 30% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Exports by Country
Iraq (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main destinations of mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports from Turkey, together comprising 43% of total exports. The UK, Cyprus, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Romania, Pakistan, Kuwait, the Netherlands and Syrian Arab Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 30%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Pakistan (with a CAGR of +114.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), Iraq ($X) and the United States ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exported from Turkey worldwide, together accounting for 39% of total exports. Romania, the UK, Israel, Pakistan, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Syrian Arab Republic and Kuwait lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 32%.
Among the main countries of destination, Pakistan, with a CAGR of +120.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 14% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports into Turkey soared to X tons in 2022, growing by 25% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 44% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, Indonesia (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of mixed condiment, sause and seasoning to Turkey, accounting for a 32% share of total imports. Moreover, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports from Indonesia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United Arab Emirates (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the UK (X tons), with an 8.1% share.

In value terms, Indonesia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings to Turkey, comprising 37% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the UK ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 9.5% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Indonesia amounted to +150.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the UK (+9.3% per year) and Germany (+1.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average import price for mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -5.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a noticeable downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 5.4%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
