Non-Domestic Dryer Market Size in Turkey
The Turkish non-domestic dryer market rose sharply to $X in 2021, picking up by 8.1% against the previous year. Overall, consumption recorded a perceptible shrinkage. For the third consecutive year, Turkey recorded growth in shipments abroad of non-domestic dryers, which increased by 27% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 30% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, non-domestic dryer exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports posted a strong expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
France (X units), Germany (X units) and the United States (X units) were the main destinations of non-domestic dryer exports from Turkey, with a combined 0.5% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Russia, China, Spain, Belgium, Vietnam, Romania, Japan, South Africa, Iraq and Morocco, which together accounted for a further 0.9%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Vietnam (with a CAGR of +135.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for non-domestic dryer exported from Turkey were the United States ($X), Vietnam ($X) and Russia ($X), together accounting for 19% of total exports.
Among the main countries of destination, Vietnam, with a CAGR of +132.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the average non-domestic dryer export price amounted to $X per unit, surging by 13% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to South Africa ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+9.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Non-Domestic Dryer Imports
Imports into Turkey
In 2021, the amount of non-domestic dryers imported into Turkey soared to X units, rising by 49% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports saw a modest expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 102%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-domestic dryer imports rose remarkably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 46%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of non-domestic dryer to Turkey, with a 2% share of total imports. Moreover, non-domestic dryer imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), threefold. Germany (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 0.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +18.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (-7.2% per year) and Germany (+1.2% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of non-domestic dryers to Turkey, comprising 37% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China amounted to +11.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (-6.9% per year) and Germany (-6.9% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average non-domestic dryer import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, reducing by -23.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a pronounced descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 54% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
