In 2022, overseas shipments of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens were finally on the rise to reach X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, exports posted a measured increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 119%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by 96% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Bulgaria (X units), Uruguay (X units) and Algeria (X units) were the main destinations of non-electric industrial furnace exports from Turkey, with a combined 46% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Uruguay (with a CAGR of +180,150.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for non-electric industrial furnace exported from Turkey were Bulgaria ($X), Algeria ($X) and Uruguay ($X), together comprising 53% of total exports.

In 2022, purchases abroad of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens increased by 1% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after four years of decline. Overall, imports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 312%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 304%. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

China (X units), Italy (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of non-electric industrial furnace imports to Turkey, together comprising 95% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by China (with a CAGR of +11.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
