Iraq (X cubic meters) was the main destination for plywood exports from Turkey, with a 8.6% share of total exports. Moreover, plywood exports to Iraq exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Bulgaria (X cubic meters), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Egypt (X cubic meters), with a 3.5% share.

In value terms, Iraq ($X), Bulgaria ($X) and Romania ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for plywood exported from Turkey worldwide, with a combined 16% share of total exports. Turkmenistan, Morocco, Belgium, France, Italy, Canada, Egypt, Greece, Georgia and Israel lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.
In terms of the main countries of destination, Canada, with a CAGR of +122.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average plywood export price amounted to $X per cubic meter, surging by 11% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 64% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per cubic meter in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($X per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Morocco (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, overseas purchases of plywood increased by 54% to X cubic meters, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 96%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X cubic meters in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Latvia (X cubic meters), Russia (X cubic meters) and Poland (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of plywood imports to Turkey, with a combined 45% share of total imports. Estonia, Finland, Moldova, Belarus, Vietnam, India, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Moldova (with a CAGR of +126.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest plywood suppliers to Turkey were Latvia ($X), Russia ($X) and Estonia ($X), together comprising 40% of total imports. Finland, Poland, Moldova, Belarus, India, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 13%.
