These countries were followed by Belgium, Iran, the UK, Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Egypt, Bulgaria, Portugal and Denmark, which together accounted for a further 41%.

Denmark, with a CAGR of +183.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of polyamides (in primary forms) to Turkey, comprising 28% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Belgium, with an 11% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany amounted to +17.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+21.5% per year) and Belgium (+17.6% per year).

The average polyamide import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 33% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
