The exports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country
Turkmenistan (X units), Qatar (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main destinations of prefabricated buildings exports from Turkey, together accounting for 27% of total exports. Bulgaria, Iraq, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Tanzania, Russia, the Czech Republic, Israel and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 32%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +150.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Qatar ($X), Turkmenistan ($X) and Germany ($X) were the largest markets for prefabricated buildings exported from Turkey worldwide, with a combined 23% share of total exports. The Netherlands, France, the UK, Iraq, Russia, Israel, Bulgaria, Romania, the Czech Republic and Tanzania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 33%.
The Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +140.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average prefabricated buildings export price amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 8.5% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey
In 2022, imports of prefabricated buildings into Turkey soared to X units, rising by 136% on 2021. In general, imports enjoyed a mild increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 166%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, prefabricated buildings imports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 225% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Russia (X units) constituted the largest supplier of prefabricated buildings to Turkey, accounting for a 66% share of total imports. Moreover, prefabricated buildings imports from Russia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United States (X units), more than tenfold. Sweden (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Russia amounted to +58.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (+7.6% per year) and Sweden (+255.7% per year).
In value terms, the largest prefabricated buildings suppliers to Turkey were Sweden ($X), the United States ($X) and Russia ($X), together accounting for 41% of total imports.
Sweden, with a CAGR of +255.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average prefabricated buildings import price amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -65.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 29%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2021 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($X per unit), while the price for Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Iran (+11.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
