Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2020, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, sleeping bag exports dropped notably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a buoyant increase. Germany (X units), the UK (X units) and Kuwait (X units) were the main destinations of sleeping bag exports from Turkey, with a combined 53% share of total exports. France, the Netherlands, Iraq, Finland, Ireland, Azerbaijan, the United States, Senegal, Libya and Saudi Arabia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 39%.

In 2021, the average sleeping bag export price amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 2.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Senegal ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Sleeping bag imports into Turkey skyrocketed to X units in 2021, jumping by 25% on 2020. Overall, imports recorded tangible growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 98% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
