In value terms, Ukraine ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for sunglasses exports from Turkey, comprising 58% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Cyprus ($X), with a 6.5% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 5.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Ukraine totaled +81.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Cyprus (+1.8% per year) and Italy (+4.8% per year).

In 2022, the average sunglasses export price amounted to $X per unit, waning by -13.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a deep setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 51%. Overall, total imports indicated a slight expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% over the last decade. In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest sunglasses supplier to Turkey, with a 67% share of total imports. Moreover, sunglasses imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), twofold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+10.2% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-12.3% per year).
In value terms, Italy ($X) constituted the largest supplier of sunglasses to Turkey, comprising 72% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 20% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Italy stood at +7.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-8.6% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-13.8% per year).
