The average passenger car tyre export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 8.2%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 21%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, passenger car tyre imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

South Korea (X units), Romania (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of passenger car tyre imports to Turkey, together accounting for 35% of total imports. These countries were followed by Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, France, Slovakia and China, which together accounted for a further 58%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovakia (with a CAGR of +20.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average passenger car tyre import price amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 7.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 12%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
