Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X cubic meters in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, the United States (X cubic meters) constituted the largest supplier of wood chips and particles to Turkey, accounting for a 75% share of total imports. Moreover, wood chips and particles imports from the United States exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Canada (X cubic meters), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Latvia (X cubic meters), with an 8.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United States amounted to -14.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Canada (-17.1% per year) and Latvia (-2.8% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X) constituted the largest supplier of wood chips and particles to Turkey, comprising 67% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Canada ($X), with a 24% share of total imports. It was followed by Latvia, with a 6.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from the United States amounted to -11.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Canada (-12.7% per year) and Latvia (-9.8% per year).
