Exports by Country
Canada (X tons), Mexico (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main destinations of antimony exports from the United States, with a combined 92% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by China (with a CAGR of +48.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Canada ($X), Mexico ($X) and China ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for antimony exported from the United States worldwide, together accounting for 90% of total exports.
China, with a CAGR of +43.7%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average antimony export price amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 28% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to South Korea ($X per ton) and China ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($X per ton) and Mexico ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Antimony Imports
Imports into the U.S.
In 2022, the amount of antimony imported into the United States was estimated at X tons, surging by 11% on the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
In value terms, antimony imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a pronounced increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 104%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
China (X tons), the UK (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main suppliers of antimony imports to the United States, with a combined 62% share of total imports. Oman, Thailand, Vietnam and Mexico lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 33%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Oman (with a CAGR of +91.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of antimony to the United States, comprising 33% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Oman, with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China totaled -3.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (+6.1% per year) and Oman (+188.5% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average antimony import price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 25% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 46% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per ton), while the price for the UK ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Oman (+50.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
