As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, carbon electrode imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a slight reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 144% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

India (X tons), Mexico (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of carbon electrode imports to the United States, with a combined 61% share of total imports. Russia, France, Italy, Poland, Austria, Japan, Taiwan (Chinese), Malaysia, Canada and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.
