In 2021, the U.S. bar draw-bench market decreased by -6.6% to $X, falling for the third consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, consumption recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Bar draw-bench consumption peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, consumption remained at a lower figure.

The exports peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, bar draw-bench exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports showed a modest increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 166%. Mexico (X units), Germany (X units) and Thailand (X units) were the main destinations of bar draw-bench exports from the United States, with a combined 39% share of total exports. For the third consecutive year, the United States recorded decline in overseas purchases of draw-benches for bars, tubes, profiles, wire or the like, which decreased by -10.1% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 65%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, bar draw-bench imports dropped remarkably to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 94%. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X units), Germany (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main suppliers of bar draw-bench imports to the United States, together comprising 75% of total imports. Italy, Austria, Sweden, Japan and Canada lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 18%.
