The U.S. wood flat pallet market declined modestly to $X in 2021, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. After five years of decline, supplies from abroad of flat pallets and pallet collars of wood increased by 3.1% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 130%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wood flat pallet imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded strong growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Canada (X units) was the main wood flat pallet supplier to the United States, accounting for a 112% share of total imports. Moreover, wood flat pallet imports from Canada exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Mexico (X units), sixfold.
